TCP (Tool Center Point Programming)

This feature allows you to reference 5-axis programs to the tool tip, rather than the center of rotation of the axes or the head center. With TCP, the math is handled by the controller instead of the post processor. The controller is able to calculate a smooth, predictable and consistent motion based on the known maximum and minimum feed rates, axis acceleration and deceleration and other machine parameters. When the math is done in the post processor, many short line segments are output to the machine, which often results in a rough and inconsistent machine motion.

HSM (High Speed Machining)

This feature allows you to take point-to-point movements and automatically change them into smooth lines or splines, resulting in a smoother overall movement. This can be particularly important when converting raw scanned data into machine motion. The HSM feature means that less information needs to be processed, which results in a smoother and faster motion, and faster cycle times.
